Cynthia's Pokemon of the day!

Hello everyone, champion Cynthia here. It's not enough for me to travel all of the regions and show everyone the wonders of pokemon. I have to tell you and show you all how great and wonderful pokemon are. So in order to do that I'll start with a pokemon of the day thread!

So after a lot of consideration and what not I decided that the first pokemon of the day would be a personal favorite of mine, as I post this from the hospital I work at.



The precious Glaceon! This Icy Eeveelution is not only a force to reckon with but it is gorgeous, one of the best pokemon designs of all time if you ask me. It's an Ice type pokemon which makes it strong against the illustrious Dragon Type, Not only that but on the Competition side it fits into both the Rarely used and Never used tier, and also had a place in the VGC '12 tier at one point. Paired with the Most powerful Ice Beam and Blizzard attacks in the entire game tied only with the legendary dragon type pokemon Kyurem, and the choice specs this pokemon can barrel through any team!

My Volcarona out-speeds your Excadrill, so unless you're wearing a focus sash, good luck with that one.

Starmie has type advantage, but I can focus sash my Volcarona, live your surf or whatever, and counter with bug buzz, and probably ohko it if you didn't invest any Spec def EVs.

As for your frosslass, same deal. If you built it sweeper, you probably will get the first hit, but if I'm sashed, I can probably give it hell.

You're both idiots. For one, Glaceon's part of the notorious "Eon" group, which means it can baton pass. So, except a Glaceon with boosted Speed.

Volcarona has an edge over Starmie with the speed but also the type-advantage with Bug against Psychic. It all depends on who goes first and who can take a hit at that point. For Excadrill, he's usually in Sandstorm if he's supposed to be good. Volcarona's screwed at that point. Finally, for Froslass you're probably facing a utility that runs Destiny Bond. Volcarona's going to die, with or without the Froslass dead. As for Volcarona itself, two words..."Stealth" "Rock". The minute it switches in it loses half of its health. That's problematic enough.

Back to the main topic, Glaceon's cool and all but she lacks a good movepool. That's just about the problem with every "Eeveelution" pokemon. That, and the fact that they follow a set stat pool. Maybe in X & Y they'll find some new toys to play with.

I think it also has to do with luck. Hell, my Heatwave could miss entirely and I could fall to Stone Edge's OHKO.

Even before attacks missing or such, there's every other Pokemon on the team and how their battling leads up to Volcarona or Glaceon. Damn, Pokemon's a deep game.

Well now that this lovely discussion is over... Today's pokemon of the day is a special pokemon, it's the First, and ONLY starter pokemon ever to make it into the Uber tier, which for those of you who don't know is a tier predominantly made up of legendary pokemon, 16 of which are Arceus wielding a different plate. This pokemon is my dearly beloved's favorite pokemon ever, which to me makes it more special, but here it is without further ado, the Pokemon of the day is Blaziken!




Although this pokemon was already powerful and rapid Base attack of 120 and speed of 80 with it's amazing fire/fighting move pool, it wasn't until it earned an incredible dream world ability in the form of Speed Boost, that it made it into the Uber League. With the ability to learn both protect and swords dance this pokemon became a speedy and powerful murdering machine! It's one and only downfall lies in its frail defense and HP stats, but who needs that when you can move first and hit harder than most any other pokemon out there? I sure wouldn't want to be caught on the other end of that flare blitz, or Hi Jump Kick!

Definately. I'm sure with gen 6, it'll evolve into an even deeper game, too.

Since I was forced to write my Pokemon of the day for 3/19 on the early morning of 3/20, I'll be giving out a second Pokemon of the day right now. The pokemon of the day today is noted for it's outstanding adorableness, but it's amazing ability to still compete in the Overused Meta Game, if you couldn't guess it this pokemon is Whimsicott!



Whimsicott is completely adorable, but she has a killer base speed which makes her a great set-up pokemon or decent lead if you build her right. But enough of her competition prowess, lets focus on her adorable looks! It's just a ball of cotton with big ears and a tiny body! Most people dislike the design of Gen 5 pokemon but this is one I have to say they did a great job on!

Whimsicott's one of the most feared if not hated Pokemon on Pokemon Online. He's notorious for using Prankster and setting up a near perfect Sub-Seed. I'd call him annoying as hell if I didn't use him myself for some time.

Hello everyone, it's time for more Pokemon of the day! Today I thought long ans hard about who I would put in my pokemon of the day post and I finally decided who to include in this list of awesome pokemon. Probably almost everyone's favorite Pokemon, this Dragon isn't really a Dragon. With the Fire/Flying typing, he's vulnerable to electricity, but due to his decent speed stat he gets around it and manages to cook his opponents! Yes you all Guessed it! I'm talking about the mighty Charizard!



He's such a great pokemon that I decided to post up his very first sprite as seen in Pokemon Red and Green. Needless to say Charizard is a great pokemon looks wise but combine him with 252 speed EVs 252 Sp. Atk EVs and choice specs and you have a pokemon that WILL burn down villages!

I'd say Charizard's best place is on a Sun Team with Solar Power as his ability. With a Choice Scarf, he comes in +1 SpA and Spe, and can decimate things with Overheat and a quick switch. He becomes the OHKO scout like that and when working with Venasaur in the sun, they're a great team with few counters.

Then again, who am I? This isn't my thread. I'm just half an idiot.
