Poke Facts. Empty Poke Facts.

Post by Cana Alberona Sun Mar 31, 2013 3:34 am

Hello everyone Sinnoh Champion here again to tell you guys some interesting facts about pokemon! In my research I've discovered some amazing things about the world of pokemon and I'm here to share it with everyone!

Fact Number One: Did you know that when Arceus came into existance, he created Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, but while he gave Dialga and Palkia the powers of time and space, he banished Giratina to the reversal world for his behavior. Giratina in Origin form takes the shape of a Serpent, while in his Current form takes the form of a basilisk, not only that but he has 6 wings, 6 Ribs, and 6 Spikes. Thus coming to a conclusion that Giratina, is the same as Satan of the bible but for pokemon.

Fact Number Two: While most of the pokedex designs are based off of nintendo's newest handheld console, the Generation five pokedex is made to look like an I-pod, the reason for this is because the Unova Region is based off of New York city in the real world and the Pokemon Company wanted to use something that best reflected American Culture.

Fact Number Three: Dusknoir's pokedex entry states that the antenna on it's head receives signals from the spirit world telling it to take people there. This is completely congruent as the face on the front of it's body appears to be angry in order to instill fear into it's opponents but the face on it's back is happy which can trick children into following the pokemon into the spirit world. however in the anime a dusknoir is seen protecting ash and pikachu from a ghost girl who tried to take them to the spirit world.

Fact Number Four: You can by pass the fortree city gym in Hoenn however when you get to the badge check you won't be allowed into the pokemon league, and without knowing how to use fly outside of battle it will be a pain in your rear end to get back there.

Fact Number Five: Did you know that Professor Oak's Studies about the relationships between pokemon and people directly ties into the theme of generation one? That theme being young trainers (Back in those days it was us) receiving their first pokemon, and forming bonds with them. IN addition Every professor from there on out with the exception of professor rowan reflects a theme in the game, Elm researches pokemon breeding patterns which were first introduced in generation two along with the gender system, professor Birch studies th habitats of pokemon in correlation to human habitats, which directly ties into the theme of nature, which is even further developed in the battle between Groudon and Kyogre and the forces of weather as well as that of Aqua and Magma, and professor Juniper studies the correlation between pokemon trainers who seek truth and those who seek ideals and their connections to their pokemon which in turn ties into the theme of Truths vs. Ideals as described in the mith about reshiram and zekrom and later personified in the battle with N.

That's all I have for now but I'll try to post up 5 facts every now and then until I run out!.

Don't be a dick. I thought it was very informative. Btw, Rowan's research was about pokemon evolution, tieing in with the new evolutions that were introduced for old pokemon in Gen 4, such as Gallade, Dusknoir, Electivire, and Rosarade to name a few.(Not trying to one-up you...)

Yes but the theme of generation four was not evolution as every game features pokemon evolution it was about pokemon mythology.

Maybe it was about an EVOLVING mythology. Remember how nobody knew shit about Giratina except for Cynthia, who guess there would be a pokemon like that out there somewhere, and when it was confirmed, the mythology EVOLVED into something alot deeper, because kids would see that(in platinum) and be like, "HOLY SHIT! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING SUPPOSED TO BE!" Nobody knew until Arceus(God, apparently) came into the picture and people pieced together the conclusion that Arceus's status, along with Giratina's crazy-ass pokedex entry, was strikingly similar to(Props to you) Christianity. Suddenly, this isn't just pokemon mythology, this is a mythology that suddenly evolves into a pokemon Religion-esque mythology. But now you have to think, because it gets crazy when that question pops into your head. If Arceus and Giratina are God(blessed be he) and Satan, who do Palkia and Dialga represent? I believe they represent Michael and Gabriel, God's right hand men I believe.

Another interesting thing to note, is that Cyrus hates the world, because it has emotion and human spirit, and wants to do away with it and replace it with what he sees as perfection. Remind you of somebody? Satan, who opposes everything God(Arceus) does! So what if Cyrus was actually, and freaking scary as this is, an interpretation of the Anti-Christ? Lets go even further. You and Cynthia jump into a portal into the Reverse World(Hell) willingly, laying down your lives to save humanity and pokemon alike. Very similar to Jesus dying for our sins, huhn? Lets go even further! After defeating Cyrus(The Anti-Christ) and Giratina(Satan), you return to Earth, triumphant. But where? Get ready for this. The SPRING path. What happens in Spring? Easter! What is easter? A christian holiday celebrating the Day Jesus Triumphantly rose after giving his life to save the sinners. You, my dear friends, are Jesus. The silent main protagonist of the game, is none other than an allegory for Jesus.

Chew on that food for thought a while, eh?

Thanks for your mind blowing input Roxas! I honestly didn't see it as that deep until you posted it and now that I think about it you are very correct. But now that we've unveiled that completely let's move on to the next 5 pokefacts.

Fact Number Six: Parasect's pokedex entry states that the parasite on it's back has completely taken over the host. This would mean that the pokemon is actually the Mushroom on it's back and that the body of the host is merely a mind controlled zombie, which would explain exactly why he has no pupils and rarely speaks.

Fact Number Seven: While All pokemon of Legend are genderles, or only of one gender there is one who strikes out as either male or female, that pokemon would be Heatran, this means that perhaps there is a way to breed heatran, I wouldn't know I've never tried.

Fact Number Eight: In the Kanto region trainers were once able to fish for pokemon by putting a rod into a statue of a Rhydon... However nothing bit the line unless you used and old rod, in which case you would get a magikarp.

Fact Number Nine: With the exception of Generation 5, the higher the legendary pokemon's dex number is the older it is, as such Arceus the god of pokemon created every legendary pokemon in reverse pokedex order, the only exception to this rule is mew who came after Azelf Uxie and Mesprit.

Fact Number Ten: The pokemon Spinda is unlike any other, even it's own kind. Every spinda you encounter has a different pattern, no two spinda are alike, so far there have been wll over 4 Billion different patterns discovered not including shiny Spinda, but if we were to include those as well, we'd be well over 12 billion different known patterns.

Fact Number Ten: The pokemon Spinda is unlike any other, even it's own kind. Every spinarak you encounter has a different pattern, no two spinarak are alike, so far there have been wll over 4 Billion different patterns discovered not including shiny Spinarak, but if we were to include those as well, we'd be well over 12 billion different known patterns.

Lol, Spinarak. Also, Heatran can't breed, so let me put you hopeful trainers wanting to do this's minds at ease. I would also like to follow up with another Creepy Pasta-esque Pokedex entry that I came across earlier today. The pokemon, Spoink's pokedex entry states that it's heart is kept beating by it's constant bouncing. That would mean picking one up, knocking it over, or stopping it's bouncing in any way possible, will result in it's untimely death. Careful, you novice trainers out there ^_^
