Oh My God, The Wolverine! Spoiler Alert!
So tonight Sora and I went to watch The Wolverine. Now what you need to know before I get into the details of this critique is, I've never thoroughly enjoyed a Marvel Movie that was not made by Marvel Studios/Disney,with the exception of Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. I thought the X-Men Movies were good but could have been better, I thought X-Men Origins: Wolverine was garbage, and that X-Men First Class completely butchered the X-Men continuity, and don't even get me started on Fanastic Four, Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider or it's forgettble sequel, Dare Devil or Elektra, those were ALL super hero failures. Moving on, below you'll find a short review of The Wolverine, which I'm still trying to process.
All in all it was absolutely the Best Marvel Experience I've had outside of the Avengers, and I HIGHLY recommend that any Marvel Fan, Super Hero Fan, and specially X-Men Fan, take a night to go see this movie.
That's all for this movie review I'll see you guys next time!
- SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!:
- Alright here it is. When I sat down in the theatre next to my soon to be Husband, I expected a less than Stellar but not bad X-Men movie. What I got was nothing like what I expected. Hugh Jackman delivered a once again on the spot Wolverine, but this time it was incredibly thrilling! The movie started out with a nightmare from the Nagasaki Nuclear Bombing during World War II, and it began ywith straight Action. The movie portrays the chapter in wolverine's life where he battles the Silver Samurai, and falls in love with Mariko Yashida, and some other events you can read about in the essential Wolverine Volume 3. Which isn't available in new print. This movie will pain a picture for you that is Beautiful, Violent, and Bloody, as Wolverine struggles to find meaning in eternal life. All in all, I must say that The Wolverine, is my second favorite Marvel Movie to date, only being topped my Marvel's The Avengers, and thanks to the amazing visual effects, stunts, fight choreography I without a doubt see the Next X-Men title (which will be focused around Days of Future Past) Tying up with the Avengers or Maybe even doing better!
