Pokemon Mythology (Work in progress)

Post by Cana Alberona on Wed Apr 03, 2013 4:14 am

So I decided to try to piece together the stories of Pokemon and see if we can create a chain of events from the Pokemon universe, that might explain what we don't know about Pokemon, specifically Legendary Pokemon and the creation of the universe. Keep in mind this is a work in progress, and I'll probably make it seem biblical.

Book of Origin.

Part One: In the beginning there was nothingness, not a single star, not a single planet, not a single spec of dust. Eventually it came to be. From the bleak nothingness, came greatness. He created stars, and planets, and dust. But above all Else he was life, and even more important that that he was God, he was Arceus. Arceus created the universe, made planets, each better than the last in the hopes creating a planet where more life could be sustained. To help him with this task he created three deities. Palkia, to control the space, Dialga, to control the time, and Giratina, to rule over another world.

Part Two: Dialga and Palkia joined together to create Galaxies, masses of space and time, a place where stars and planets could be together, a place where life could be made. Arceus over saw the creation of the Galaxies and created more stars and planets in each one. As time went on the perfect planet was created. Giratina however unable to share the creation of life with his brothers, struck out in Violence nearly destroying the life that Arceus had created. As punishment Arceus banished Giratina to the Distortion world to eternal solitude. This marked the beginning of a peaceful era.

Part 3: Arceus then brought life to Mew the Pokemon of Origin, one where all Pokemon would be created from, it would be the first prototype of Life, but with the powers of a god strong enough to survive in harsh conditions. The pokemon of the Beginning signaling the end of a lifeless period, and the beginning of a period where life would prosper.

Book of Structure

Part One: Once Giratina had been permanently banished Arceus continued to create life in many forms. He realized that the weather was unstable and so life couldn't survive very easily. It was then that the Dragon of the Skies Rayquaza came into creation from the genes of Mew. It flew around the Earth creating the Atmosphere so that live could be made without the harsh conditions of the hot sun or cold space. From Rayquaza came the mighty Deities of land and water, Groudon and Kyogre, and through their birth came to be the land of Sinnoh. They created and built Vast continents across the world where life could be sustained. However due to their unbalance they could not stand the sight of one another, as Groudon desired an earth of mere land while Kyogre desired an earth of mere water. This battle raged on for 7 days and 7 nights until Rayquaza descended from the heavens and calmed both Kyogre and Groudon, who in their battle created the perfect Earth. It was for this reason that Rayquaza waited 7 days and 7 nights, as any longer would have brought an end to the creation of his lord and any less would have resulted in a scarred and imperfect world.
Rayquaza then sealed the two Pokemon into Caverns where they would be put to sleep until awakened by the Red and Blue orbs.

Part Two: Without the deities of the Ocean and Land there was chaos, and in this chaos Arceus gave life to Heatran the Pokémon of Magma, and Manaphy the pokemon of the ocean. Each would control their domain and never have conflict. Finally with the creation of the continents completed Arceus created Humanity, and a Dragon to watch over them.
